The blocks included in the pattern are original designs used in the Seasonal Sampler Block of the Month class taught at Smith-Owen Sewing Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They are fun and easy to contruct using either traditional applique with buttonhole stitching on the edges.

The class used a combination of both techniques on each block using the designs as individual block wall hangings, three and four block wall hangings or a twelve block quilt.
