A201 - Unlocking Your Creativity (The Key is Templates)
Would you like a quilting pattern that fits your quilt? Have you ever wished a quilting pattern reflected your personality? Would you like to create a design that is Unique to YOU? Well now you can. Join Patricia as she shows you how to move templates to create stunning designs that look complicated but are in reality the simplest of shapes. She will teach you four techniques for moving templates. You will learn how to transfer these designs to your quilt or any project you may have. Join me in learning how to release the creativity that is within all of us.

A301 - Northern Pines Series: The Thinking Tree
Discover a quick and easy way to cut smaller squares and rectangles that share a common bias seam. This section will demonstrate the use of "A Common Bias" cutting guides, designed to be used with "The Thinking Tree", part of the Northern Pines Series from A Common Thread Designs. Participants will receive a complimentary copy of "The Thinking Tree" pattern, as well as learn this time-saving and accurate method of cutting the "tree" units for all the Northern Pines Series patterns.

A401 - Stretching Your Imagination
Combine design tools and rope tools to create one-of-a kind borders, sashings, and blocks. Coordinated designs that unify your quilt - that you have created. Each student will draft a block design, sash, corner stone and framing border that they can take home and stitch out using stitch away paper.

B101 - Discharging Fabrics
Hands-on class that will teach you the basics of discharging (removing color) fabrics using a variety of resists, tools including my Nautilus tools. Learn easy techniques for one-of-a-kind fabric for your quilts!

For great borders and corners, Templates Rule! Long arm quilting requires special tools to attain the balance and symmetry we have come to expect in borders quilted by dedicated quilters. This class will help everyone who has struggled with choosing border designs and getting them consistent. Learn how the new tools take the "math" out of the equation and result in borders that actually have corners that match!

B301 - Make Your Own Marbled Fabrics
Love to ogle our delicious marbled fabrics? Want to learn to make your own? Need a fabric that has 5 particular colors but can't find a piece that has them all? Here's the perfect opportunity to make your own marbled fabric! Each participant will take home about 2 yards of hand marbled fabric that they painted! Your imagination will work overtime when you stand before our marbling tray, ready to select paint colors and prepare them for the marbling process! A great activity to do with a group of friends and guild members!

Class fee includes all materials needed for marbling, including paint, sizing, fabric, and marbling tools. Participants should bring: 'paint clothes', rubber gloves (optional, not required for safety, only cleanliness)
